Erin is certified through DK Body Balancing method and has been teaching Pilates apparatus since 2007. As an apprentice, she worked for Ballet Austin. She is experienced in working with people of all ages and backgrounds including dancers and athletes as well as those with injuries and the elderly. In particular, she has worked with clients who have herniated discs, low back pain, sciatica, shoulder, hip, neck, and knee injuries, osteoporosis, as well as prenatal and postnatal care. In addition, she has taken several workshops and is knowledgeable of myofascial release techniques.
Before becoming a Pilates instructor, Erin faced the challenge of self-healing. At that time, she had kyphosis, which is an exaggerated forward curve of the thoracic/upper spine as well as hormonal imbalances and nutritional deficiencies. As an advocate of health and fitness, Erin believes in the natural healing power of the human body and is passionate about helping others learn how to heal themselves through movement and nutrition. Erin graduated from Saint Edward's University in Austin, Texas with a BA in psychology. She believes in the holistic approach to life and teaching where mind, body, and spirit are nurtured. Erin is certified in reiki and practices tonal or sound therapy as well.
